In my studies, I found other versions of the same Wheel in other Native American cultures. Different animals surround the Cherokee Wheel, and different colors show up in other Wheels. Each has similar lessons, and the same basic meanings. Each animal that has been chosen to represent a particular segment on the Wheel is chosen because its lessons are relevant to that position, and that animal is more abundant in the region where the tribe's culture is derived. This is also apparent in the Eastern religions. |
