• The Center is part of the symbolic system of 5
• The center is the position of the focus of the Medicine Wheel, where Creator sits
  • The One in both visions of Ezekiel and John the Revelator who appeared as Jasper
  • Envision the council, where the focus is at the center and all sit around it
    • This many been seen as symbolic of placing Creator central to your life
    • Represents deity come to earth to dwell among humans
    • An acknowledged space for deity at the council
    • All council members are equal around the circle, equidistant from the center

  • This is the Sacred Altar, the place where Creator-Great Spirit dwells
  • Each of the Four Directions has a Path to the Sacred Altar

• 2.5.1.2 Correlations for Center

  • Jasper is the stone chosen; colorful, many colors; symbolic in John's vision
  • Tribal associations often see a Thunderbird as representing the Great Spirit
  • Grandmother Turtle, Creator of Mother Earth, is also at the center of the Medicine Wheel
  • In a three-dimensional view of the Wheel, it is rather a sphere, than a flat circle
    • Part of the Seven Directions: the Four Cardinal points of the compass plus three
    • Three additional directions: Above, Below and in the Center
