4.7.1.1 Colors: Pink (Bruce-Mitford 107)
- In Western traditions, usually associated with flesh and hence sexuality
- A softer tone of red, primarily associated with the feminine
- Baby Pink - more muted than red, suggest sensuality in less aggressive way
- Pink traditional color of young girls
- Baby girls still often dressed in pink, in contrast to pale blue for boys
4.7.1.2 Medicine Stone: Carnelian Agate (Wilson VFEM 12)
- A chalcedony, quartz; colors range from pink to red to yellow
- Opaque form is jasper; used for jewelry and other ornaments
- First stone to be engraved in ancient times
- Associated with blood because of color
- An emergency stone used in accidents for healing
- Will stop flow of blood from wounds
- It is swung in pendulum-style or circular movement above wounds
- A gift of carnelian considered a gift of the heart
- Given to express a pledge of love
- Wearing facilitates for a healthy heart open to emotions
- Mothers wear it to keep hearts open to needs of their children
- Carnelian Agate people are very home oriented, and enjoy idea of ornamentation
- Important to them to have home in proper order and attractive-
- Physically, spiritually, mentally, emotionally
- Easily engraved with thoughts and feelings of others
- Have ability to flow freely with life because of their association with blood

- Their flight is strong and direct
- They have stout sharp bills allowing them to dig

- Rose hip tea has been used to dissolve gallstones and kidney stones
- Good for bloodstream and liver problems
- Twigs and roots may also be peeled and used for a tea
- Wild Rose people have a wide variety of abilities
- Have a wild quality about them; can be quite attractive in natural setting
- Often sought out for outer rinds
- Their visible talents which they have in abundance
- But inside are even deeper knowledges, one must dig to find these qualities
