- Should it find it needs help to pull skin away, it can suffocate
- An attempt to change may be snake's undoing
- However, if successful, it can be magnificent
- Before shedding, skin becomes dull, listless, not shiny
- After shedding, the snake gleams brightly, can be seen at night
- There is a benefit and a detriment
- Need to recognize the strength
- It could be such a strength it could be stiffling
- Can distract from improvements
- The person born in the full of the Blue Moon...
- Beautiful in nature

- Water reeds are the plant totem
- Sweetgrass can also represent the Blue Moon
- Can enlighten and cleanse atmosphere
- Too much can sour the air
- Has a double edge
- Iron pyrite or fool's gold is the mineral totem
- Real gold is malleable and soft
- Fool's gold looks attractive
- When attempting to mine it, it is sharp and hard
- Like snake, doesn't give its true meaning in initial contact
- To look at it brings rush of greed and avarice
- One should be more temperate, recognize it is not what it seems
- Working it can hurt you rather than help you
- Iron is the solid flesh of Mother Earth
- In this stone it is encased in golden colors of Grandfather Sun
- Shows that it is not what it seems
