- It is good medicine
- A sign of good health and good luck, purifying body, heart, mind and spirit
- It retains its natural color better than turquoise
- Chrysocolla people have medicine powers of both earth and sky
- But sometimes they are too rooted in the earth to look up
- Must work at taking time to look up if they are to be well balanced
- Know when to be at the right place at the right time
- Appear to be lucky, but apparently their so-called luck is the result of hard work
- Are very stable people, but need to curb tendency to overindulge
- Change is difficult and they remain close to familiar things
- Are loyal associates
- Blue stone indicates possession or offer of intuition (Wilson VFEM 11)

- Has a large, flat tail to serve as a rudder and balancer
- Front hands very nimble

- Beaver people are excellent at designing, creating
- And developing new programs or projects
- They can control the flow of power from one group to another
- They never stop growing spiritually or philosophically
4.5.1.4 Plant Totem: Blue Camas (Wilson VFEM 42)
- Wild member of the lily family; bulb is Native American staple
- Beware, white camas is known as death camas
- Both appear similar when not in bloom
- Blue camas smells like vanilla, tastes like brown sugar or maple sugar
- Used as a sweetener, can be made into molasses
- Appears starchy, but not a starch
- Medicine power: contains inulin, a complex sugar
- Inulin also found in dandelion root and the Jerusalem artichoke; affects action of pancreas
- Used by Native Americans to keep blood sugar level in balance, avoid diabetes
- Excessive use can act as a purgative and emetic
- Blue Camas people are conscious of beauty and practicality at same time
- Have ability to sustain those with whom associated
- The white camas reveals itself when they are out of balance
